Description: Sidewalk Observations are issues observed about Seattle's sidewalks and are collected to help inform maintenance and repair functions. By locating issues on the sidewalks, SDOT can assign condition ratings to the inventory. Observations are used to inform repair and replacement efforts, design a more proactive sidewalk inspection approach, and inform the department of citywide sidewalk condition. Using the data acquired through this program, SDOT can focus on making the city more accessible for everyone, including those with mobility challenges.
